Perceptions of the nude body in art............

A question often asked, when it is mentioned that one is a life model is; "Don't you get embarrassed?". This in itself can have several connertations. In April this year, at the University of Miami in the USA, a study was conducted to find out whether a nude body in art was considered artistic or erotic. Nine examples of artworks were chosen, and based on these works, certain assumptions were made as to the results, taking into account such things as exposure to the arts, age, gendre, subject etc. The results, however, were a long way off the predictions.
